1. Describe a typical day for you.
I get up at eleven a.m. and take a mock listening examination for TOEIC in fifteen minutes after getting up. TOEIC is a popular test to evaluate our English skills in Japan. It is one of routine and I could get a high score thanks to that this October. I pursue to get a full score, so I have been doing that for about nine months. After that, I usually have lunch and then learn English, walk around my place, and write my blog. I take an online English class before dinner though it depends on the day. After the lesson, I review it and do my writing homework. I usually go to bed at around two or three a.m.
2. Do you have lazy days?
Yes, actually almost every day. Now I have no job, so I have a lot of time to do as I like. I want to be an English teacher or a Japanese teacher to foreigners, so I am preparing for getting those kinds of jobs. I have many tasks, but I can arrange my schedule as I want. I sometimes study hard, but sometimes take it easy. I think the balance between busy and free is pretty important to live comfortably and happily.
3. Are there days that you will like working/ cleaning everything at home?
No, as I mentioned on No.2 answer, I don’t have any job and my apartment as well. I live in a hotel and I sometimes move to another hotel or my family’s house freely. The reason why I live like that is that I am planning to go to Canada to get a job and learn about other country’s culture. It is one of my dreams. I am looking for the ending of the pandemic and get me allowed to enter that country.
4. Can you stay at home the whole day?
Yes, it is easy for me. I enjoy watching Netflix and Youtube videos. I have a lot of things to give me fun at a hotel or my family’s house. I am convinced that I prefer staying indoor to outdoor, especially in Winter.
5. What is the first thing you do when you arrive in the workplace?
I checked my E-mail first when I arrived at my office when I was a computer engineer. I sometimes got important messages from our client after leaving the office the day before. So I needed to check my message box as soon as possible when I started working every day.
Describe the activity that you love to do every day.
I would like to talk about “the Walking Dead Time” as my most favorite activity in my day. I have been into that American TV series for more than half a year. I watch it on Netflix with my laptop. I used to watch it with my friends, but now we are split into Tokyo and Ishikawa, so I watch it alone. Actually, I finished watching it until season nine, and I have one series left, season ten, but I try not to watch it because I promised that to my friend. I repeat to watch from Season one to nine, so I already know the story, but I always get excited when watching it as if I watched it for the first time. I have many favorite scenes in that TV series, so they make me fascinated even if I watch them again and again. I like the story because I can learn lots of things from it, for instance, which is the most important for one’s life. It can be family, friends, partners, or oneself. It is not only a zombie movie but also a drama that describes the relationship between characters.
1. Do you think it is possible to break a daily routine? Yes or No? Why or why not?
（あなたは日々のルーティーンを崩すことができますか？はい or いいえで、またその理由は何ですか？）
Yes, I believe so. Honestly, I try to get up earlier every day. Moreover, I always find a new way to learn English. I think keeping doing the same thing is wonderful to acquire a skill, but we shouldn’t be afraid of a change to get a more effective way. There are many options whenever we do something. In my own perspective, we should choose the best way accordingly.
2. Do you think it would be possible for you to start a new routine soon?
No, it is hard for me to do that. As I said earlier, I have tried to be a morning person, but I couldn’t. I believe that we need motivation when starting a new routine. For instance, if I have an English speech competition, I will start to train an English speaking skill such as pronunciation or behavior during that speech. Competition or examination tend to change our lifestyle easily.
3. There is a proverb that says, "Your morning sets ." Cup the success of your day” Do you agree?
Yes, I agree with that phrase though I cannot wake up early. I have read a lot of articles about that from newspapers or on the Internet. Morning is suitable to work productively. Also, we can do many things in the day if we can wake up early. It means we can spend the day fully. Time is money. I would try to get up early again from tomorrow because time is precious.
